Hi and welcome to the list Jon. Sorry you had to be here but glad you've
found us.

The options are as varied as the individuals born. Each of our triers
(regardless of the trisomy flavor) is unique and no 2 are alike. All have
varied medical, developmental, emotional and intellectual situations.

The starting point for you is assessing the medical issues. What are options
following birth for those medical issues? You need to talk with parents here
on the list who had a prenatal diagnosis (I did not, didn't have the trisomy
dx until Alex was 1 yr old) and set up birth plans. You can decide ahead of
time SOME contingencies following birth. ie: comfort care only vs full
medical response. I'm sure you'll hear from folks who've BTDT on that front.
You definately need a dr who is willing and able to listen and respect your
wishes.

Good luck!
