I've got to get onto the handicapped placard, too. Our PT has said it
takes a while hear for the paperwork/whatever to go through, so we
should apply now (I'm not sure when Keren qualifies exactly....). I
know what you mean about feeling reluctant about getting it.... At
this point I don't have to carry too much other than typical baby stuff
for Keren, but I know that will change eventually--particularly when we
start into a wheelchair of some sort

I think for us it was a bit easier, Brendan is not even sitting up yet and
has such a need for the sitting system. When I take him into the market I
carry
him and put him in one of those infant seats on the carriage, so happy that I
don't have to walk a mile to the front door on those days that in is crowded,
he is about 32 lbs now.

I was helping out with the girl scout with the cookies ( sorting for the
troops) as I was leaving the woan who parked behind me got a ticket and I
didn't
cause of the handicapped parking tag in my car, I did have Brendan with me. I
don't use it when he is not and its funny to hear Siobhan say when we go
shopping " we can't park there mom, right? Cause we are not handicapped
without
Brendan, right, Mom?"
