Hi Leah. My name is Linda and my daughter Courtney has t18 and is tube fed.
Courty had surgery at age 4 weeks for pyloric stenosis which solved part of
our problem. We started using a pump for feedings when Courty was about 18
mos old, set at a slow speed. She is now up to 75 cc's (about 2½ oz) per
hour 22 hours per day. We also changed her to ProSoBee (soy formula) when
she was about 2½. Courty had her n/g until she was 3 years old which
contributed to a lot of sinus infections. Has Erika's doctor mentioned
gastrostomy? If I had it to do all over again I would have made them do the
surgery at least 2 years sooner and saved Courtney a whole lot of needless
pain and suffering. By the way, Courty is 9½ years old now.
