{{{{{{Penny}}}}}

You are NOT a failure as a parent.
What you are is realizing that what you can and are doing isn't enough
without other support or help. You want to do the best for Devon's sake.
That's being a good parent!

It is SO hard to make those kinds of decisions (thankfully it's been a while
since we've been in that boat 'cause it sucks swamp water).

Guess I'm curious as to how/why this blood pressure medication can work on
behavior/sleeping issues??? Does it suppress something????

Regarding Devon's behavior issues.......I can certainly see your concerns.
As he gets bigger/stronger it can be more of a problem for him/you.

And I can also understand why John Q Public is a concern as well. Devon has
to live in this society (such as it is!) and it's understandable that you
would like him to not be hurting people as that has serious negative
connotations regarding how people will interact with or acknowledge Devon.

I guess it's a matter of safety as well because people may respond in kind,
esp as he gets older and the society 'rules' of it not being cute or
tolerated will apply more and more.
It's just wrong/sad that we even have to think that way................

Ya gotta do what ya gotta do for everyone's well being Penny, much as I know
you don't like to medicate Devon. You guys will make the right decision for
him and your family.
It's all any of us can do!
