I'm definitely not an expert here, and haven't heard of Namenda, but
thought I'd throw this one out. My dad is ADD, and after going through
a number of medications ended up with Dilantin (yep, an
epilepsy/seizure medication). He did research on it, and his doctor
knew about it, but apparently the main thing that it does is smooth out
the chemical connections in the brain (like my medical terminology? :)
). Anyway, to say the least my Dad has been on it for quite a few
years now--low dosages, minimal if any side-effects. I know it's
something that doesn't work for every ADDer, but maybe it's worth
looking into? The trick is getting a doctor who will think outside of
the box, I guess....
Good luck!
