[tri-med] Re: My first school question

>>>>>>>>>>>It was the first time that I saw the world in context to Alex
and his
situation as he would/could live it. And it just nearly killed me.
Definitely broke my heart. Imagining a life including that type of
ridicule
and torture was NOT what I had planned for my child. And knowing that I
was
powerless to protect him 24/7 out in the world.........just a
nightmare.<<<<<<<<<,

its kind of the same situation with Mark......he has no other DX then
the LD and the ADD but that's enough.......... he has few friends ( one
only really) and doesn't get invited anywhere mostly stays home with us,
Rebecca got more valentines this year as she is in a special ed class
and integrated into kindergarten ( excuse me she is of an age to be in
grade 6! ) I know a mom who's son only has a LD and is out of school as
he is 20 yrs old. She tells me he reads at a grade 4 level. I saw him at
the gym the other day and he looks so normal, no one would know he can't
read well........ but I am sure he faces the same problems as Mark does
socially.......
