I woulda told her and think I did mention it while at conference. I, on the
other hand, have the opposite problem. When we moved up here from the city in
1984, we had three kitties we brought with us from town, but we also had a "cat
cage" where all the kitties went at sundown. Two of the kitties lived to ripe
old age, but the little girl white angora really liked to sleep on the roof
of the nieghbor's lanai and I think she became hawk food one day. The next
kitties were locals, one from the neighbors and the next one her one and only
baby
(biggest kitten you have ever seen). They both disappeared a couple of years
apart during the day, so we figured the coyotes were getting bolder. The
next batch were aquired by my kids when they were about 12-13 years old. I
bragged to everyone that they were old enough to take care of their own cats
and how
smart I was to wait until they were really old enough to do that. They did
such a good job that now, 15 years later, I am the not so proud caretaker of
three geriatric cats between 12 and 16 years old. My two kids that the cats
belonged to in the first place are long gone, but their cats are sure old and
healthy. And they still come in to the cat cage by sundown. I am also stuck
with
one bunny and 20 snakes. Anyone want a pet?
