Hi, I'm not from Minnesota, I'm from Iowa, but for Candace, she has my
husbands insurance with is BCBS, then for a secondary she has Medicaid
(Title XIX). In her case, it does not go by income as she receives SSI.
And we receive a reimbursement from the government for what my husband pays
for weekly health insurance. I don't know if that is by income or not - I
think that since she gets Medicaid, it is probably just cheaper for them to
keep her primary coverage and pay us for it (BCBS). Sorry I don't have any
info on Minnesota. Have you tried checking with your local Department of
Human Services (not sure if that's what it's called in Minnesota)? Or do
you have a local Area Education Agency or anything like that?
