Two stories here...

1. I didn't mention this before but, although I worked
as a nurse for years, I never had a needle oops. But
now mechanical engineer hubby of course managed one.
Would have been about 10 yrs ago now, and he's since
passed a life insurance physical, so we KNOW he's okay.

He was cleaning out crud, just crud, left in one of the
rental units after we evicted some street people who'd
just broken in and took possession...it was a flop house
for drug dealers, users, & street walkers for a couple of
months until we could legally get through the eviction
process and get them out. (And no, calling the police on
them didn't help. Possession really IS 9/10ths of the law".)
But there was just no question that it was a VERY high risk
oops, when he pulled his hand back from a top closet shelf
with the syringe hanging from it. Guess what I'm trying to
say here is if he didn't get aids, or hepatitis C, of anything
else, then maybe that puts your odds into better light?

2. About those mood lifters of sorts...When hubby was still
agreeable to take his herbal "Happy Camper Pills", he called
a family meeting in the bathroom one Sunday morning while we
were all up visiting with my mom, and passed pills out to
the 2 older kids and me. Best day we ever spent with her!
Not that she was any better then usual, we just didn't give
a rat's whisker. Woman KNEW somethin' was up. Sat behind
us at meetin' just glarin' at us. One hint though, don't mix
'em with Mexican yam cream. I giggled for 2 straight hours
afterwards. Good thing she'd already gone to bed by then, or
I'd have been a dead woman.

>And why aren't you in California enjoying the warmer
>weather my Dear with your hubby??

Not only are her kid's in school this week, but Southern
California IS washing away still too. Here we are in an arid
environment with water falls appearing where they never were
before, while Oregon just declared an official drought. Go
figure...and before you start saying global warming, may I
remind you that when the Spanish explorers originally sailed
up the west coast line, they missed the whole Central Cal
Coast area, because the bluffs were covered with snow and
didn't look inviting. And what does that tell us? That much
like it's inhabitants (a 3rd generation one here), the weather
in California has just historically ALWAYS been whacked....
