<<Can anyone tell me if there can be side effects from Microcephaly?
Is there a problem with their head staying small, but the inside growing??
I hope that makes sense.>>
Kristy,
Philina had this, and at one point there was a concern that the suture
lines in her skull might have closed up prematurely, which would have
caused exactly what you are describing. We had to get an x-ray done
of her skull to check it out. If it had of closed they would have had
to operate, and open them back up to allow her brain to continue growing.
Fortunately although they had closed up, they hadn't sealed, so she still
had growing room.....
