Alex loves kayaking and canoeing so he has had to learn to swim in rivers 
and such. He also loves the surf which is how we know about sand :-) Alex is 
just a water babe and seeing as he went swimming for therapy every week 
since he was 6 months old I shouldn't be surprised. His mother on the other 
hand will do anything to avoid getting her big toe wet unless the water is 
as hot as that in my bathtub :-))
