Just a quick update and thanks to all who responded! I went to google.com and
looked into autism--wow, lots of great stuff! I am convinced Soleah should
have this diagnosis as well. I began Soleah on a regimin Sunday which is
helping some. Based on several sites . . . Resperdal 5 mg in am, then in
addition--high dose of vit B6 & magnesium twice daily mixed into her pediasure;
then ground flax seed, brewers yeast, and lethicin in her oatmeal. I am going
to cut back wheat carbs and try more brown rice and alternate pastas, then add
some fish too. She has a pretty good diet now. At night I rub lavender oil on
to her feet (she loves this) and then on her temples and neck in the am after
washing face and brushing teeth (seems to enjoy this too.) The Resperdal helps
some, not dramatically but combined with everything, she is doing pretty good
this week. The true test was tonight when a friend dropped her 6 yr old son
over (this would typically stir Soleah up) - she behaved quite well with no
agressive bouts. She was typically annoying and hovered over him but not
combative, hitting, scratching, etc. Is there a pill for curing "annoying"
??????
I am going to continue reading and trying to come up with some more info. I'm
open to more input, advice, etc.
Kathy, hows Kandice been???
