With Alex the geneticist used his pen, holding the it horizontally at the
'proper' point of Alex's eye.
We were then able to visually follow the line along Alex's head and see that
Alex's ears were 'low set' as the geneticist was describing.
Of course, when the geneticist looked at Jim and I, Jim actually has low set
ears as well (very slightly). :-)
