Hannah was very slow to gain weight. She still is. We were taking her to =
the
doctor twice a week for weight checks for a long while. Her doctor put =
her
on some additives to her formula to get extra calories too. She is three
now, weighs 27 pounds and is about 38 or so inches tall.

I just posted the other day about low blood sugar. Now we're on to a new =
obstacle. Caleb (full T13) will be 10 days old tomorrow. He is still =
losing=20
weight. We know that there are issues with his liver and kidneys =
(although I
was=20
told neither are failing yet). The doctor said that he suspects an
electrolyte=20
imbalance of some sort and that any testing to determine what is going =
on
would=20
be too invasive and he recommends that we bring him home from the NICU =
and=20
just let things be.=20
Has anyone experienced difficulties with early weight gaining issues? =
The
doc=20
says he's already on more calories than a baby of his age should be.=20
Could this really be the end of the road for us already? I feel like I =
am=20
just giving up on him if we don't investigate the cause.=20
