Here's today's update.....

First she spiked a temperature this morning.  They got that down, and then
the head ICU doctor threw a hissy fit about the ENT team scheduling her
extubation in the out patient surgery department, instead of the main in
patient OR.  Took her off that schedule and had to fit her in to the other
one between existing cases.  Finally got her in, and her tube is out.
Temperature has stayed down, and now her blood pressure is acting up again,
but not as high as before.  She's still producing a lot of mucous.  She was
pretty badly congested and rattley this afternoon, but she's started
coughing
good, and helping them to clear out the uck now.  Her incision looks really
good, and is already well healed.  I think she will progress pretty well
now.
This is a bon fide rainbow report.  It rained today, and when I was driving
home from the hospital late this afternoon for dinner, there was a brilliant
colored double rainbow stretched across the freeway just north of the
hospital.
Let me tell you the ones at the Disney World balloon release couldn't hold a
candle to these.  Really wished I had my camera.
