[tri-med] Re: Lauren is now in heaven

 
Georgiann, Steve, Emily and Matthew, 

I am so terribly sorry for the loss of your daughter and sister, Lauren. I
amso glad that it was peaceful in the end. You have all been such a
wonderfulfamily to Lauren, loving her for just the person she was, and with
the life God gave to her.  

I said this once, to the doctor who denied our daughter a diagnosis and
therefore denied her a chance at life, that our children may not be perfect
in the traditional sense, but for the purpose in which God makes them, they
are perfect. Sometimes I think we know that purpose very soon, but often
times it takes a while to understand. They are a very special gift indeed. 

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family for the difficult days that
lieahead.

Hello,

Our dear Lauren passed away this morning just after midnight..  She had a
really rough couple of days and her little body just could not fight
anymore.  As I mentioned in an earlier post, her stomach was distended -
which was actually her bowel and she was in a lot of pain.  They had her on
a morphine drip which really helped keep her comfortable.

We decided late yesterday that we were going move to comfort care and to
bring her home to be with us.  But God had other plans...  he took her VERY
PEACEFULLY in her sleep...  She just slowly stopped breathing..  I could not
have asked for anything more..  It happened very quickly too.  We know she
is in heaven and watching over us and giving us the strength to make it
through this...  Our priest said something that touched me when she was born
- When she passes you will be able to pray TO her instead of FOR her.

Thank you all for you advice/information and support - I don't really know
what I would have done without you all..
