Sounds like things are looking up a bit. I'm glad you got to see Jeremiah on
the scans. I loved having scans to be able to see Abi. There will be plenty
more trips to clinics........
>He is still trailing in growth - is at about 25 weeks, 5 days, or 750 grams
Abi was about 2 weeks behind at this point too. She dropped off a bit more
towards the end.

As you know Heather I had polyhydramnios too. Abi did not have any
swallowing problems what so ever, or a cleft palate or cleft lip. There was
no problems with her kidneys either. Polyhydramnios alone does not imply
there is a problem with swallowing; it is one of the symptoms of carrying a
trisomy baby.

I planned a spontaneous labour but ended up being induced. This was mainly
because of the polyhydramnios, but also the fact that Abi's head had not
engaged. This meant if my waters broke, there was a chance that the
ambilical cord could come out before her head went down and this would have
put Abi at risk. I therefore felt it was better to be induced especially as
all the medical staff required were on hand and ready if this had happened.
Another positive of being induced was Abi could be monitored from the very
start whereas if I had waited for it to happen spontaniously then she would
not have been monitored during the first stages of labour. Given that Abi
got distressed very early on, I was glad I had been induced. If you decide
not to have Jeremiah monitored during the labour then this will not be
applicable anyway.

Excellent news. I bet you are soooo pleased about this.
