[tri-med] Re: Latest on Jeremiah

Heather, if it is the neonatal personnel that you are worried about, it was
our experience that there were qualified people around 24/7. The only
consideration might be if one neonatal doc was against using "extreme"
measures and wouldn't take all the actions you requested. However, since you
are meeting with the NICU staff in advance, your wishes should be a part of
your record when you come into the hospital. We, too, met with the neonatal
staff in advance, and when Anna was born and struggled breathing a little bit
after a few hours, they came to us and referenced our advance conversation,
and it was not the doctor we had met earlier. I was comforted knowing that
they knew what measures we wanted taken for her. This would be a good thing
to discuss in your visit to the NICU.

Hang in there, Heather. Thanks for keeping us informed.
