Ruth,

Matthew is still probably too young for one of these camps,
but no ours isn't limited to adults. And Philina has gone
off and on for years. Camp is run by the local Easter Seal's
office. Many of the volunteer aides they get are high school
students looking to make there college applications look good.
Young, energetic and motivated too. Usually a 1:1 aide ratio.
Camp is held one weekend per month (except none months of Aug,
Dec & Jan). There are 3 different "school camp" sites in our
county, and it fluctuates on which one Easter Seals uses, but
all are somewhere up in the east county mountains. We have to
transport ourselves, but Nan & I have been known to coordinate
for drop off/pickup. Camp always has a round the clock nurse on
duty to administer all the meds. Kids bring sleeping bags &
pillows. Camps have themes. Activities might include arts,
crafts, music, videos, swimming, hiking, lots of socializing.
Philina & Ali just love camp!
