Does anyone else have a kid who collects anything and everything?
Alex has always been a collector and I have put that down to my sister,
Betty, collecting Tazo's, pokemon cards etc for him. But its getting out of
control.
If I leave change out he "collects" it and puts it in his money box. If he
sees a leaf or a feather on the ground he wants to "collect" it. OK I can
manage these ones pretty easily. But now he has taken to collecting keys!!!
Yesterday I spent an hour - well 55 minutes searching for my car key. I even
enlisted Alex to help me. Finally he said "oh" and went into his room and
got a jewellery type box that he got his hearing aids in. He opened it up
and there was my car key along with a whole heap of other things, bracelets,
earrings etc. I honestly don't think he is "stealing" at least not with
intent. He is more than happy to give anyone anything that he owns, I think
he is just "collecting" - but its getting out of control......... any
ideas??
