[tri-med] Re: Keep your fingers crossed!

Thanks, Michelle. And to everyone else. We met with them on Saturday
and, from the sounds of it, he thinks Hannah would be best served by a
van a side ramp that she could be wheeled into. He showed us a pretty
top of the line van that had a great automatic door and ramp and I think
Hannah was a bit startled to be actually wheeled into a vehicle! While I
do agree with him that it would be practical (she's only going to get
bigger and heavier) it will also involve trading in the van we just got
(and the old one that we still have) and, in all probability, car
payments. Car payments that we just can't afford. From what I remember
hearing he commented that we would get together after Thanksgiving
(early December) and get information together and then they would
petition their funding source in early January. And earlier, when he was
showing us the van, he said something about getting a full conversion
package. So it sounds like they could find the funding for the
conversions, ramp, etc. and we'd have to deal with getting an acceptable
van. If that's the case I don't know what we'll do. Donn's mom just gave
us the money to get the new van and car and there is no more money. And
I know that the "new" van we have now is not going to cover another van,
even with the old van thrown in.
