[tri-med] Re: Just found out we're pregnant (happy&worried)

Hi. I had a CVS done earlier this year. My son, Luke, is partial t-14. We
met with a genetic counselor who told us the risk of a miscarriage is about
1%. I had it done vaginally, although because I have a tilted uterus, the
actual procedure (not including the ultrasound) took about 30 minutes when
it usually only takes about 10-15. The was mild/moderate discomfort. I
spotted for 5 days after the CVS, but was told that I would only spot for 1,
so that was a little scary, but I guess it does happen in some cases. I am
now 25 weeks along in my pregnancy. I would do another CVS if we ever decide
to have a 3rd child.

Hope that helps. Good luck!
Vicki Christensen, mom to Luke 3 1/3 yrs
