[tri-med] Re: Just found out we're pregnant (happy&worried)

Hi Yazmin.  I had a CVS.  There are two ways to do it, depending on where the 
placenta lies.  Unfortunately, mine wasn't in a position where they could go 
through the vagina, though I was hoping and praying it would.  I had to do the 
second one, which is similar to an amnio.  They insert a needle into the 
stomach to get a sample of the villa.  They numb the spot where they go in at 
and then insert the needle.  I think the worrying was the worst part for me.  I 
HATE needles.  Even to get blood drawn.  So I was almost hyperventilating and 
everything.  It's uncomfortable and hurts a little, but nothing like labor.  
I'm not sure what the percentage risk is.  Good luck!
