>>>>>>>>>>>I too worry about when kam will hit her plateau. i am not
worried about
never learning to read or anything that lofty i just want her to keep
developing until she can communicate her wants and needs better. i'd
like
to know a little bit about what is going on in her head....<<<<<<<<,

I don't really worry anymore, I know she is progressing at her own rate,
it may not be at a rate that is "acceptable" to the normal world but it
is her rate, and I have to be happy with it. We accept Rebecca as she
is, and over the years its become our "normal" every once in a while I
get josled back to what her typical peers are doing and yes then I do
feel sad but I try and remember what a miracle she is, and I think of
that song, not sure of the name or the title but it goes on about the
crack baby and the kids with the braces ect and how we are all perfect
in gods eyes and will be one day........ ( and no I am not overly
religious) its just that the song at least to me tells it like it is

Susan mom to Rebecca
