Hi Julie,
Joanna's been on Bipap at night since about last August, not for apnea
(which she had only from 3-7 months of age), but to strengthen her lungs
damaged from last year's pneunomias and her scoliosis. She has a gel mask
that can sometimes create soreness under her nose, but otherwise handles it
pretty well. She's also on O2 24/7 - currently needing 1-1 1/2 liters to
maintain 90-93% levels doctor wants, but does have ups and downs. We'll see
plumonologist next week. His current goal for her is to be able to cut out
daytime O2 and only have Bipap at night.
