I am glad that this went well sweet.
I had this test before Alex was born, and I was supposed to be 36 weeks also
(actually I think I was further along but thats another arguement)
I dont know a great deal about the test, only how it related to me.
I went into labour, (well increased labour, i had been in labour essentially
for months) 1 minute contractions that werent doing anything constructive
except causing a lot of pain. The doctor said he would do the lung maturity
test and and if he was above 3 they would do the c-section if less than 3 I
would have to just grin and bear it.

If less than 3 the doctor said he would just struggle too much in the NICU
with his breathing and be too much at risk for hyaline (?sp) membrane
disease after birth.

The test came back as an 8, so his lungs were quite mature (I had had 3 full
lots of steroids to mature his lungs during the course of the pregnancy
because of premature labour) and so Alex was delivered the next day.

So I dont know about your numbers, we obviously use a different count just
as we do with blood sugars, haemoglobin etc. But I just wanted to let you
know how the test was for us.
