My OB is willing to do the monitoring, he's being very proactive on issues.
He started the nonstress tests at 32 weeks, suggested the lung test and
possibly this week administering a chromozone to make her lungs grow quicker
and he will moniter during labor. The problems we've run into are the other
Drs - his practice has 2 others. One is very much against wasting any time
on me (he's the one that wouldn't do the strep b because there's a "risk" in
taking antibiotics for me!!!) and the other we haven't really got a feel for
yet. She's new to their practice but seems more sensitive to us. I just
don't know how they are going to react when/if she goes into distress and we
want a c-section. All three doctors have tried their hardest to talk us out
of it, although my primary doctor seems willing to do it as long as we
understand the risks.
