It is so hard to see your baby so ill. But remember, no matter what the
doctors say, God is in control of her life. She is like everybody else:
she has a day she was born, and a day to die. We know when the first is,
and nobody knows when the second is, even the doctors in their "infinite
wisdom". Don't feel bad for crying, it's better to get it out than bottle
it up (coming from a seasoned bottler!). I always found a good cry made me
stronger and more resolved afterwards, and helped me fight for what I
wanted. Don't let them bully you--Kira is more than her diagnosis. She is
a sweet little girl, and deserves everything you, as her momma, decide is
best for her. I will be thinking of you a lot today, and praying for
strength for you.

Thank you all for keeping Kira in your prayers. I am so happy I have other
moms (friends) with me at tough and happy times. Today in the morning when
the nurse told me what they had to do and when I got into a big argument
with one of the residents because my daughter was gagging and waking up and
they were hesitating on giving her sedation medicine, I felt so depressed I
went to the restroom and cried. The thing that really made me that way was
that I heard the doctors talking saying that she was very ill. I know she is
very sick but to just hear it from somebody else made it more real and I
just lost it.
Proud mother of baby Kira (18 months)partial trisomy 7p and trisomy 10q, and
she loves to talk.
