[tri-med] Re: Is this a sensitive subject?

>>>>>>>>Can I get some honest opinions? A service
co-ordinator was out to the house today to fill a PUNS
form out which helps the state plan for future needs
of those with disabilities. She mentioned that there
is a residential school about and 1 and 1/2 hrs from
me. She said it's a fantastic school. has anyone
ever considered this<<<<<<<<<<<

We don't have those options here in Ontario Canada so I really cant give my
opinion re: if I would have sent Rebecca, that said I did have her on the
waiting list for day program ( where she would go daily after getting out
of school at 21) as well as a group home, not that I ever really planned to
send her but you never know what life will deal you and I felt that if we
were unable to physically care for her or say if we died first then at least
she would be on the list.( its 10 - 15 year wait) and all that said I have
sent Mark to residential school this year and it has been great for him I am
actually a little sad that it is only a 1 year program as the school is so
great!
