Congrats and welcome, Loren, Kraig and little Keren! We are so happy that
Keren is doing so well!
My daughter Hannah was born on Sept. 29th, 2000 and is trisomy 13 mosaic with
very few problems thus far.
. She tends to sound really congested, and yet we can't get
much out when we bulb it. I know her nasal passages are tiny, and that
probably augments any winter-time swelling, etc
Hannah had the same problem and when I would try to bulb her nothing would
come out. Then I asked my pediatrician and the one thing my pediatrician
told me was NOT to bulb her. He said that their nostrils are so tiny that
when you use the bulb it actually irritates the nasal passages and creates
more congestion. He said to just use saline drops and put them in right
before she had her bottle. It was hard to do to her but it did work.
Hope that helps a little bit.
Keren is just beautiful and we hope you enjoy your first Christmas together!
