International Day of People with a DisABILITY is celebrated every year on 
December 3rd.
It is a day to raise awareness of disability issues in our community and to 
celebrate the achievments of people with disabilities
and their contributions to local communities worldwide.
International Day of People with a DisABILITY is unique among community 
awareness these days.
? It is a day to celebrate the achievements & contributions that people with 
disabilities make to their communities everyday.
? It provides an opportunity to highlight the needs of people with disabilities 
in the community and recognises organisations that
are proactive in meeting these needs.

(Australia) A number of free resource tools are available to help you celebrate 
International Day of People with a DisAbility.
? A resource kit, which includes information on event ideas, background 
information, media releases and editorials.
? A range of posters that promote International Day of People with a DisAbility 
are also available.
