[tri-med] Re: Info on Neurologist Appointment Please!!!!

I just thought I would answer the question about seizures..... You would
know, I know it sounds silly but if your child is having them you know.
Thereare many types of seizuers and they dont always involve whole body
convulsions. They can be as simple as eye rolling, lip smacking, twitching
onone side of the body...always followed by some sort of confused look, and
uninterruptable. Aleah has done alot of body motions that make my heart
race, thinking its a seizure the easiest way to find out is to touch her or
say her name if she doenst stop then it could be a seizure. If she responds
then its just "behavioral". I have met with nuerologists quiete a bit but I
am assuming if your child has never had a seizure they will just look for
head growth/size any abnormalities. Development, how they use there body,
tracking with there eyes, things like that. They may talk to you about
whatever assortments go with your child diagnoses ...... best of all they
usually they dont poke them!!!!! and just talk with you and play with them.
Hope this helps!
