prenatal stroke ???

The simple answer to this one sweet is to think cerebral palsy.

The specific problems of a child with prenatal stroke will vary depending on
where the stroke was in the brain and how long before birth (the longer
before birth the better chance of recovery in utero, but at the same time
residual problems may be more resistant)

Issues would perhaps not be so different to many of our triers, but without
the organ involvement. So less medical but probably lots of rehab.

Cognition may or may not be effected - that will be a wait and see
situation, depends on where the stroke was and the extent (the fact that its
taken awhile to pick it up is good, may mean its not as severe as it could
have been). Cognition, or at least our ability to see the extent of
cognition may be masked by physical issues.

but he has a sibling who was born Dec 2001.

Would they not try and keep them together?

Hope is itself a species of happiness, and, perhaps, the chief happiness
which this world affords.
