[tri-med] Re: Immunizations

kids/babies. Anyone have any comments on whether we should/shouldn't?>>

Hi Manjit & Gina,

Welcome to you and your daughter.

I'll tell you what our trusted family pediatrician told me when my trisomy
daughter was a baby. He said those immunizations were never intended for a
child as small as my daughter, and so he refused to start her scheduled
shots until she reached the normal weight of a child the age the shot should
have been given. This means that all her shots were late, but that caused
her
no problems, and he felt possibly saved her from some dire ones. So I guess
it would depend on your daughter's size/weight, as to whether I'd wait or
not.
