Thanks again Michelle!!! You know I never knew what BRAT stood for...but I
DO tend to give Devon apple sauce when he can't seem to handle much of
anything...I always thought of it as gentle :o) Bananas too as a matter of
fact...I even brought one with me to the ER in case he felt like eating
something. I also give him oatmeal because I think of it as bland. The
other night (Thursday PM) when he ummmmm...erupted again...I had given him
oatmeal because he was tired and he doesn't have to work hard with
oatmeal...I didn't know his tummy was unwell at the time. I onlyrealized
later when he was sleeping on the couch when he became restless and acquired
"the look"...that his tummy was unwell again. Interestingly...and perhaps
even disgustingly enough...when he DID erupt...it wasn't oatmeal that
was.....ejected. I won't tell you what was...but it shouldn't surprise me
since I'm beginning to see a pattern with what upsets his tummy...seems to
be acidic stuff though. Gotta tell school no more fruit cups...although
wierdly....he seems to fine with pasta dishes...unless you hold the fact
that he mousses with his spagetti sauce against him :o) Toast...he'll
eat...should've thought about the fact that while I was pregnant...and spent
the first 5 months judging what I ate thinking only of how it would taste
the 2nd time around :o(...that the only thing that helped, out of the
multitude of things suggested to me, was carrying around a loaf of crusty
bakery french bread and ripping a hunk off whenever my stomach started doing
the wave. :o) Rice...we used to try to stay away from because it
constipated him...we always stuck with oat stuff when he was younger...but
he can eat it ok now...one of his favorite meals is rice, portabello
mushrooms and beef...it's a soup :o)
