Well...not alot. I make him drink water and then I sort of "pop" his cheeks 
to make him open his mouth and let it come out. He just doesn't get that 
when he's brushing his teeth and has to drink, he's not supposed to swallow. 
I just know that if he learns to spit out the toothpaste water he'll do it 
at inappropriate times. I do not think you're kooky :o) I appreciate the 
input! I've never really known why it wasn't a good idea to swallow the 
toothpaste. Offhand, do you know which toothpastes do not contain fluoride? 
Yep...I knew about the Alzheimer's patients and the aluminum in the brain 
tissue...but I didn't know about the fluoride facilitating the transport of 
the aluminum
