Penny,

I'm going to throw in my two cents here. I suggest
that you try MOM (Milk of Magnesia, Mg(OH)2) instead
of Mylanta which contains aluminum which is toxic. My
dad used to use Mylanta on some types of offset plates
- bring it to the pet shop. Also, being you allow
Devon to swallow his toothpaste, I would also suggest
that you use a non-fluoride product. Fluoride is also
a metabolic poison - toxic; even the toothpaste label
will reveal that much. What's more the presence of
fluoride facilitates the transport of aluminum across
the blood brain barrier. I know you probably think I'm
kooky, but remember, Alzheimer's patients show a
increased level of aluminum in their brain tissue.
