We erred on the side of caution with Alex, with a doctors suggestion to do
so.

Most babies at 2 months have reached 10 lbs or more. We didn't begin Alex's
immunizations until he reached that 10 lb stage.
Yes, chronologically they are one age but most of our kids have delayed
development (including their body systems being immature). They should be
treated as such with the development/age driven procedures.

We also chose to have shots given one at a time (no 2, 3 or 4 immunizations
at a given time) in the blitz that they do today (which is WAY worse than
when Alex was an infant 19 years ago because there are more immunizations
given today).

In hindsight I'm glad we did the slow and steady process due to later
finding out about Alex's allergies and allergy induced asthma. He just
doesn't always react to things like everyone else.

We didn't even let our 'typical' child have her immunizations in bulk. Molly
had hers one at a time as well. Just doesn't make sense to blitz an infant
with 3 or 4 viruses at once when you can spread them out with no ill
effects. It's more drs/clinic convenience than anything.

Just my opinion since you asked! lol
