[tri-med] Re: IEP

Michelle, I've been following the thread of this discussion. I'm not
exactly sure what type of professional you are looking for and where you've
looked, but I thought I'd make an offer. Grand Rapids seems to have some
pretty good health care. I don't know how it compares to the other side of
the state cost wise. I also know someone who is involved in the medical
community in Grand Rapids. If you were interested, I could try to get some
info on some recommended professionals. If you found you wanted to pursue
this, we live 30 - 45 minutes from most points in Grand Rapids. Our home
would be open to you and Alex as a landing spot. Is Molly going to Blue
Lake again this summer? Maybe you could coordinate it with the trip to come
see her. We might even have time to head to the beach!!

I know it's a long shot, but I'm trying to think outside of the box more as
I get older. (I have a tendency to always do things the tried and true way!
Risk adverse all the way!) Just thought I'd toss it out.

Take care,
Ceci, mom to angel Anna T-18

I checked out having the testing done on Alex some 3-4 yrs ago. The cost was
just too much for us to bear at a bit over $2000. (our $1000 per person
deductible then the co-pay on the next $5000).

There's only one dr within 1.5 hrs that does the testing. The costs seem to
be close to the same regardless (we live in a high medical cost area because
of GM--if we went 4-5 hrs away costs drop for medical/dental).

I'd LOVE to have it done..........
