[tri-med] Re: Husband for hire?

Fawna,
Ditto to that.  I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one with a husband like
that.  Hey, just last Sunday, our neighbor's daughter called to tell my husband
that he had a heartattack and was in the hospital.  When he hung up the phone,
he asked me who was that on the phone.  And these are people we have known for
20 years!

And to think that my husband works at the petro plants here in Pasadena.  Kind
of scary. huh?

Debbie,

That's what mine suggested, that I could go back to work as a nurse while
he stayed home with the kids.  Problem is I couldn't trust him to remember
to be where he needed to be when he needed to be there...IEP, meeting buses,
doctor's appointments.  He regularly misses his own appointments that he has
me make for him.  Double books himself all the time, including for our 25th
wedding anniversary and HIS family reunion.  If it doesn't effect him, and
even sometimes when it does, then it's just not important to him.  He's very
fast though to tell me, 'It would be better if you did it this way!'  Tells
the kids that too, so neither of the older 2 liked him helping them with
their homework, or teaching them to drive.  And especially teaching them to
drive, because the man rarely says what he actually means.  And hears what
he expects to hear, so anything he'd tell me the doctor/teacher said would
go through the hubby reality filtration system and come out totally slanted
to what he thinks it should be.  I use to wonder how the man keeps jobs for
a decade or more, the one he quit he'd been at for 12yrs, but those qualify
as important to him, so they matter.
