[tri-med] Re: Hi Kathy

Dear Abraham,
The bath helped Louise to pass wind, bms and if she was agitated after a
bottle. She only lived for 5 short months but boy did she have a lot of
baths she must have been the cleanest baby around!! But I have also learnt
a few more tricks since becoming a midwife such as gentle abdominal massage
and foot massages. For tummy use a little oil (any kind you can eat such as
olive, almond or cold pressed vegetable oil will do.) on you fingers and
with a gentle circle motion gently massage from the top of baby's right leg
upwards til you are level with the belly button then again in circle motion
across the tummy til you are level with the left leg and then massage down
gently, repeat a few times if necessary. Foot massage: again using a little
oil massage the sole of the foot just above the heel it sometimes feels
'lumpy' if the baby has lots of wind. I hope this helps you.

Don't worry about the world coming to an end tomorrow it's already tomorrow
