According to Lilley Pharmaceuticals (in their report on adverse post trial
reactions to Strattera) this kind of paradoxical reaction would most likely
be because Mitchell is 'a poor metabolizer'. Which means that it wouldn't
take effect initially as soon as expected, and also that it wouldn't get out
of his system as soon as expected. So giving him more only makes matters
worse when he finally starts to metabolize the drug. Where you can REALLY
fall
into trouble with this is on long term treatment with a drug that has a
sedative
property, because you're giving the next doses before the previous ones have
metabolized, so the drug level in the body creeps higher and higher until
your
beyond a therapeutic level. Unfortunately this seems to be a pretty common
problem
in chromosomally damaged individuals. (My observation, not theirs.)

Now I do trust his dr....but I also have my own
opinions and make them known if I feel I need to. :)
Good luck. I know with Mitchell's hearing aids--I myself can hear the
buzzing, so I wouldn't be too concerned about it. And if you are really
worried about it--just change the batteries every couple weeks just to be
safe. :)
