What do they think caused the bleeding? Coughing so hard to broke
a vessel?

was treated with aerosols and antibiotics and preelone and
extra oxygen. He is doing much better now.>>

It can be a never ending story when they are congested. How does
Hayden typically do with his secretions? Does he clear himself a
lot? Kristina does a lot of the time. And then, those times you
don't move fast enough she throws up. I think a lot of her
throwing up is due to junk in her throat although she does have
some reflux as well. We've been using Jude's suggestion of garlic
drops - apparently it helps to relieve the congestion and also to
increase the motility so the gi system speeds up a bit.

Kelly, what type of trach vent do you use? The kind that sticks
out or the kind that looks like a barrel under the chin (I call
it the Saint Bernard look)? I have some of the kind that stick
out that we are not going to use if they would be of any help to
you.
