[tri-med] Hannah Update - Friday

I so want to be able to just sit down and READ my e-mail. I came home this
evening as we have been having roommates and it's way too crowded in the
room that way and I just can't sleep in the crib anymore and still manage
to stand up straight. (We've had some really interesting roommates! I hope
hope that the second one survives his "parents.") Zach has bowling league
in the morning so I am going to take him to that and then go back to the
hospital. Donn will stay with Hannah tonight.
She looks so much better but is still not feeding well. They had been
feeding her via the G-tube during the night (continuous) but that was
discontinued last night. We thought it might maker her eat more in the
morning since she isn't used to getting fed during the night. They also
upped the feeds to 4 ounces every 3 hours. Unfortunately she is still only
taking about 2 - 2 1/2 ounces per feed. The doctor said we could try solids
(veggies and fruit) but very small amounts and after the formula. She still
gets whatever she doesn't take by bottle via the tube.

The doctor isn't saying when he thinks she will get to go home. This
morning he commented that they will watch her for "a few days" to make sure
she gets what she needs nutritionally by bottle (doing a calorie count)
before they take the G-tube out.

Thanks for all your support!
