Hi:
Our Pamela has been flinching a lot lately when inserting or turning her Mickey
button. Anyway I removed it once to see if anything was up and nothing
particular. I thought perhaps it was hitting something that was irritating her.
Anyway I went to change the Mickey today, as it has been leaking, and when I
pulled it her body language(she is not verbal) indicated it wasn't very
pleasant. Well it was followed by a bit of perhaps pus but mostly blood? In
all of the eight years this has never happened. Can you get an infection
inside the stoma or further down???? I'm trusting that perhaps whatever it was
has popped and the blood is a sign of drainage. Otherwise I would imagine I
will see something on the outside that would indicate something else is
happening.
Anyone else experienced anything similar??
