Its the ginger in gingerale that helps - problem is that these days many
gingerales dont actually use real ginger - its artificial and so it doesnt
help. You can buy ginger tablets from the pharmacist and they really do help
with nausea.
I do believe that the carbonation can also help - especially if the problem
is due to gas or is producing some gas. But its small amounts - just a few
sips, not drinking bottles of the stuff :-))
