Michael, 8 months, Tri-18 mosaicism, is on Zantac which causes him all kinds
of tummy problems, constipation being one. I took him to my naturopath who
has me take Borage Oil, and Omega 3 (I am nursing). I mix up,for Michael,
1/4 teaspoon of infant acidopholus , one capsule of borage oil, 1/4 teaspoon
lecithin. This helps return his stomach to the normal "environment" necessary
to digest properly.
I also add in colostrum powder for his immune system since he was not able to
eat for his first 3 weeks so he missed out on it. I mix it all up, add some
water and feed it to him via syringe while nursing. I also will add
chamomile if he needs it. If he is having a bad day I will rub castor oil on
his belly and apply warm compress for a few minutes.
I notice a great difference since giving him his "potion". He used to
struggle all day (cramping) and have a very tough time when he would go to
the bathroom. Now he is pretty regular and much happier!
