Hi,
I promised some of you that I would keep you updated on my g-tube.
It has been 4 weeks since surgery. My incision is well healed. My
cast is off my leg and foot now, too, so I'm able to walk better.
But, my g-tube hurts intensely at the point of insertion. It has not
stopped hurting. Now that I'm able to shower, the dried blood has
come off. I'm using Neosporin on it and keeping it covered with a
4x4 bandage. But each time I change it, there is a lot of drainage
on the bandage. And the pain is constant, causing me to use pain
killers although today I thought I would try just Tylenol. It hasn't
done a thing.
Has anyone got any help? I called the surgeon's office to talk to
the nurse to see if this is normal. She hasn't called back yet.
Today is my last day of PT, and I'd like to have some answers before
I go off the "home-bound" status. Thank you to anyone who can offer
some sort of suggestion.
Always there for a Hug and a Prayer!
