[tri-med] Re: G-Tube Story

Alex IS a cutie!!!

My Caroline was also REALLY tiny and skinny, maybe even more so. She was 4
lbs at birth and, at 4 months, she was still in the 5 pound range (prior to
g-tube and nissen). At a routine dr visit the dr's looked at her and were
shocked. They advised that she needed to be admitted asap to start ng tube
feeding. We were a little shocked, we said "she always looks like this, she
is just tired today". HOWEVER, when we now look back at pictures of her
during those months we are shocked at how terrible she looked. She was
literally skin and bones. I can't believe she survived that. It is truly a
miracle that Caroline is still here!
