She may have what Alex has Michelle - which is a postural scoliosis. When
Alex is just "sitting" his back looks very crooked but if you give him a
twist and get him sitting up straight it goes away.
Its no major cause for concern unless it becomes "fixed" which is the type
of scoliosis that everyone is talking about.

With a fixed scoliosis no amount of pulling or twisting will bring the curve
out again. I do my best to prevent that with good sitting habits etc. It was
a big reason for choosing the convaid over the McLaren for him.

I wonder if the non-fixed component of scoliosis is the improvement that
folk are seeing with chiropractors etc and if it were truly "fixed" whether
there would be the same improvement?????? If I had the dollars I would be
using an osteopath for Alex to prevent problems - one worked marvels on a
supposedly "fixed" torticollis when he was a baby by using cranio-sacral
therapy. He achieved in 10 minutes what physio hadn't been able to touch in
months.
